Serie IC Wastewater Clarification Plants
Efficient wastewater treatment designed to preserve the environment and valuable water.
Task
The service water generated for the wet processing of raw materials cannot be drained into the ground untreated. Efficient treatment preserves not only the environment but also makes allowance for the scarcity of water in many regions.
Solution
The slurry arising from the wet processing of aggregates are conveyed by gravity or pumps into the clarifier. In the connecting pipe to the clarifier, a polyelectrolyte flocculant is added to the slurry, triggering the agglomeration of the fine particles. In the centre of the clarifier the sedimentation of the fine particles begins. These settle on the bottom and are carried by the scrapers of the scraping bridge to the central sump. From there, the thickened slurry is carried by a speed-controlled single-screw pump into the slurry collection tank or to the dewatering plant. The clarified water rises to the surface and flows into a collecting basin, from which the processing plant is again supplied with water.
Benefit
COMEC clarification plants reduce the environmental impact of building raw materials processing to a minimum.
